Chess is in the news more than you think. Chess, like any other sport, breeds controversy and drama. But there is also a lighter side to the game. A lighter side, that most grandmasters and national champions do not want you to see.
I believe there is a void in the web regarding chess blogs. The sites and blogs I visited seem dry and lack personality. I want 64 Squares to attract students or kids who are intrigued by the game but hesitate because it isn’t cool. I want this blog to show students that chess does not have to be stale and mind-numbingly boring.
